The average import price for onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables; fresh or chilleds stood at $770 per ton in November 2023, dropping by -3.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 49% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,766 per ton. From August 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($1,823 per ton), while the price for Spain ($611 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables; fresh or chilleds stood at $785 per ton in 2022, declining by -52.2% against the previous year.
