Price for Refined Copper Tube and Pipe in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In January 2022, the average import price for tubes and pipes of refined copper amounted to $11,310 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 an increase of 5.9% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in January 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices from Finland ($14,696 per ton) and Germany ($12,959 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($10,446 per ton) and Malaysia ($11,002 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2021 when the average export price increased by 151% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $18,582 per ton, and then fell notably in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Romania ($46,578 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($8,085 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+13.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
