In 2022, the average export price for spices; cinnamon (cinnamomum zeylanicum blume), neither crushed nor ground amounted to $8,128 per ton, surging by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed a noticeable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 94%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $10,780 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($8,310 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($4,541 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($6,253 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $6,253 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+15.7%).
