The average import price for sugars; fructose, chemically pure, in solid form stood at $1,030 per ton in 2022, increasing by 13% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced decrease. The import price peaked at $1,384 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,030 per ton) and Bulgaria ($1,029 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($772 per ton) and China ($1,029 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Canada.
