The average import price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid stood at $1,122 per ton in March 2022, which is down by -14.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 12% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,307 per ton, and then dropped in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($1,288 per ton), while the price for Iran ($833 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
