In 2022, the average import price for tungsten (wolfram); articles thereof, including waste and scrap, powderses amounted to $81,517 per ton, with a decrease of -2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 29%. The import price peaked at $169,675 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($114,278 per ton), while the price for Poland ($75,300 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
