The average export price for vegetables; celery (other than celeriac), fresh or chilleds stood at $1,126 per ton in September 2023, surging by 1.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 52% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $1,584 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Albania ($2,640 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine totaled $1,576 per ton.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
