The average export price for waste, parings and scrap, of plasticses stood at $557 per ton in September 2022, surging by 7.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 an increase of 12% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $605 per ton. From April 2022 to September 2022, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Australia ($953 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($460 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
