The average winding wire of copper import price stood at $12,652 per ton in June 2023, with an increase of 5.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $13,648 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
