The average pumpkin export price stood at $441 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -11.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a noticeable slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 30% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $584 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
From September 2022 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to -2.6% per month.

The average pumpkin import price stood at $3,952 per ton in 2022, jumping by 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a buoyant increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Guatemala ($6,339 per ton), while the price for the United States amounted to $3,051 per ton.
