The average pumps; parts thereof import price stood at $29,038 per ton in June 2023, growing by 5.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 139% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $33,109 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($61,110 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In June 2023, the average pumps; parts thereof export price amounted to $15,300 per ton, with a decrease of -19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 an increase of 147% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $23,169 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($37,771 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($3,005 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+8.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pumps; Parts Thereof Imports in Romania
For the third consecutive year, Romania recorded decline in supplies from abroad of pumps; parts thereoves, which decreased by -6.3% to 9.7K tons in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt setback. The smallest decline of -1.4% was in 2020.
In value terms, pumps; parts thereof imports fell rapidly to $226M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 23%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $279M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

After two years of decline, overseas shipments of pumps; parts thereoves increased by 24% to 12K tons in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
In value terms, pumps; parts thereof exports surged to $141M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a modest increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
