Soap in Bars Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

The average soap in bars export price stood at $1,711 per ton in 2022, growing by 24% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, soap in bars export price increased by +98.2% against 2016 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($2,172 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($979 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average soap in bars import price stood at $3,598 per ton in 2022, surging by 13% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 36%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($7,473 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($1,560 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+27.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was growth in shipments abroad of soap and organic surface-active products in bars, when their volume increased by 0.5% to 194K tons. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep reduction.

In value terms, soap in bars exports soared to $332M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +11.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
