Starch Manufacture Residues Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
The average starch manufacture residues export price stood at $438 per ton in September 2023, reducing by -12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 an increase of 25% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $667 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Thailand ($719 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($211 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Starch Manufacture Residues Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
The average starch manufacture residues import price stood at $305 per ton in September 2023, falling by -17.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 33% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $393 per ton. From November 2022 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,031 per ton), while the price for Canada totaled $199 per ton.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
