Stationery Product Price in Mexico (FOB) - 2023

In June 2023, the average stationery product export price amounted to $1,135 per ton, picking up by 9.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 183% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,882 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to -7.5% per month.

In 2022, the average stationery product import price amounted to $2,993 per ton, which is down by -8.7% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 11% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $3,598 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($14,494 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($2,470 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
