In February 2023, the average stationery product import price amounted to $1,043 per ton, falling by -4.1% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 26% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,511 per ton. From November 2022 to February 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($2,269 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($936 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
