In August 2023, the average tobacco refuse import price amounted to $551 per ton, shrinking by -15% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 19% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $716 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
