Tomato Puree Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2023
The average tomato puree import price stood at $1,758 per ton in September 2023, jumping by 16% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,879 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($2,322 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($876 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Tomato Puree Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
The average tomato puree export price stood at $1,284 per ton in 2022, surging by 5.1% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, tomato puree export price decreased by -27.0% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 38%. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Greece (+12.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Tomato Puree Imports in Slovenia
In 2022, the amount of tomato puree and paste imported into Slovenia soared to 7.5K tons, increasing by 23% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, total imports indicated a significant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +22.1% over the last three years.
