Vitamin Price in the Dominican Republic (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average vitamin import price amounted to $13,247 per ton, falling by -4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $20,228 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($20,342 per ton), while the price for Guatemala ($9,906 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (-1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Vitamin Price in the Dominican Republic (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average vitamin export price amounted to $13,923 per ton, declining by -44.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 109% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $34,251 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($114,313 per ton), while the average price for exports to El Salvador ($102 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Honduras (+5,734.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Vitamin Imports in the Dominican Republic

In 2022, vitamin imports into the Dominican Republic skyrocketed to 741 tons, rising by 16% on the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
