Wire and Cable Price in Norway (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average wire and cable import price amounted to $13,243 per ton, which is down by -8.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 28% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $14,499 per ton, and then dropped in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($30,138 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($4,415 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+13.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Wire and Cable Price in Norway (FOB) - 2023
The average wire and cable export price stood at $36,999 per ton in August 2023, with an increase of 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 225% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($100K per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($12,061 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Wire and Cable Imports in Norway
