The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2022, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, frozen fish fillet exports rose rapidly to $X in 2023. Total exports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. Exports by Country

Namibia represented the main exporter of frozen fish fillet in Africa, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. South Africa (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Tunisia (X tons) and Tanzania (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Morocco (X tons) and Uganda (X tons) - each finished at a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to frozen fish fillet exports from Namibia stood at X%. At the same time, Morocco (X%), Tunisia (X%) and South Africa (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Morocco emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Uganda experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Tanzania (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, Namibia ($X) remains the largest frozen fish fillet supplier in Africa, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by South Africa ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Tunisia, with an X% share.

In Namibia, frozen fish fillet exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: South Africa (X% per year) and Tunisia (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2023, the export price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, increasing by X% against the previous year. Imports in Africa

Total imports indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Import Prices by Country

In 2023, the import price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mauritius ($X per ton), while Mali ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
