Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2022, and then declined in the following year.

Imports by Country

Uzbekistan dominates imports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Tajikistan (X tons), generating a X% share of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the flat-rolled steel in coils imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported flat-rolled steel in coils in Central Asia, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tajikistan ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual growth rate of value in Uzbekistan stood at X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Tajikistan (X% per year) and Kazakhstan (X% per year).
