The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, polyurethanes imports contracted significantly to $X in 2023. Overall, imports, however, recorded a resilient expansion. Uzbekistan represented the largest importer of polyurethanes in primary forms in Central Asia, with the volume of imports reaching X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), generating a X% share of total imports. Tajikistan (X tons), Turkmenistan (X tons) and Mongolia (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
