Exports from China

After two years of growth, overseas shipments of carpets and other textile floor coverings decreased by X% to X square meters in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked at X square meters in 2021, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, carpet exports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

The United States (X square meters) was the main destination for carpet exports from China, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, carpet exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Japan (X square meters), twofold.
