In 2022, the CIS office metal staple market increased by 3.1% to $X, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a pronounced shrinkage. In 2022, office metal staple imports in the CIS stood at X tons, approximately mirroring 2021. Total imports indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +127.3% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 60% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
