Russia represented the key exporter of copper screws, bolts and nuts in the CIS, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Azerbaijan (X tons), Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Belarus (X tons), together achieving a X% share of total exports.
Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Azerbaijan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Azerbaijan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan increased by X and X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In 2023, imports of copper screws, bolts and nuts in the CIS fell significantly to X tons, waning by X% against 2022 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (X%), Tajikistan (X%), Uzbekistan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Belarus (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.), Tajikistan (X p.p.) and Azerbaijan (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively.
