Exports in CIS

Shelled hazelnut exports expanded significantly to X tons in 2022, growing by X% compared with the year before. Overall, exports showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, shelled hazelnut exports declined modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Azerbaijan prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Armenia (X tons), mixing up a X% share of total exports. Belarus (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to shelled hazelnut exports from Azerbaijan stood at X%. At the same time, Armenia (X%) and Belarus (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
