Total exports indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +68.0% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, metal solid fuel appliances exports expanded rapidly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +87.1% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 39% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The Czech Republic (X units) held an 18% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Hungary (14%), Slovakia (11%) and Bulgaria (8.8%). The following exporters - Russia (X units) and Lithuania (X units) - together made up 5.4% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to metal solid fuel appliances exports from Poland stood at +3.0%. At the same time, Russia (+21.8%), Lithuania (+12.9%), Slovakia (+4.2%) and the Czech Republic (+3.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, the largest metal solid fuel appliances supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), Hungary ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X), with a combined 71% share of total exports. Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 27%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Russia, with a CAGR of +16.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, jumping by 20% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+11.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, imports of iron or steel solid fuel domestic appliances in Eastern Europe reduced to X units, falling by -7.1% compared with 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 110%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then shrank in the following year.

In 2022, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, rising by 21% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 21% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
