After two years of growth, overseas purchases of silver ores and concentrates decreased by -27.7% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports, however, posted significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 10,357%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2020, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, silver ore imports dropped rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 4,203%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2020, and then fell sharply in the following year.

In 2021, Bulgaria (X tons) was the key importer of silver ores and concentrates in Eastern Europe, making up 100% of total import.
