In value terms, whisky exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Latvia was the main exporting country with an export of about X litres, which accounted for X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Romania (X litres), Bulgaria (X litres), Lithuania (X litres), Slovakia (X litres) and the Czech Republic (X litres), together comprising a X% share of total exports. Belarus (X litres) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Latvia decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (X%), Slovakia (X%), Bulgaria (X%), Belarus (X%) and Lithuania (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. The Czech Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Romania (X p.p.), Bulgaria (X p.p.), Lithuania (X p.p.), Slovakia (X p.p.), Belarus (X p.p.) and the Czech Republic (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Latvia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Latvia ($X) remains the largest whisky supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Romania ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a X% share.

In Latvia, whisky exports decreased by an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Romania (X% per year) and Lithuania (X% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per litre, growing by X% against the previous year.
