Exports in the EU

In 2022, the amount of chlorates and perchlorates, bromates and perbromates, iodates and periodates exported in the European Union contracted remarkably to X tons, with a decrease of X% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, posted a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, chlorates, bromates and iodates exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw moderate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

France was the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. Sweden (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Austria (X%), Spain (X%) and Belgium (X%). The following exporters - Lithuania (X tons) and Germany (X tons) - each finished at a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to chlorates, bromates and iodates exports from France stood at X%. At the same time, Lithuania (X%), Austria (X%), Spain (X%), Sweden (X%), Belgium (X%) and Germany (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Lithuania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
