In value terms, Germany ($X), France ($X) and the UK ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 43% share of total imports.

The UK, with a CAGR of -9.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, growing by 1.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the import price increased by 8.8% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
