In Germany, electric rotary converter exports decreased by an average annual rate of -8.3% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Spain (-13.9% per year) and the UK (-3.4% per year).

From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

The Netherlands represented the main importing country with an import of about X units, which amounted to 68% of total imports. It was distantly followed by the UK (X units), creating a 10% share of total imports. Switzerland (X units), Denmark (X units), France (X units), Sweden (X units) and Poland (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into the Netherlands increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Switzerland (+19.1%) and Denmark (+3.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Switzerland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Europe, with a CAGR of +19.1% from 2012-2021. By contrast, the UK (-6.9%), Sweden (-7.5%), France (-12.7%) and Poland (-13.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the Netherlands (+33 p.p.) and Switzerland (+3.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Sweden (-1.6 p.p.), Poland (-4.1 p.p.), France (-5.3 p.p.) and the UK (-8.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported electric rotary converters in Europe, comprising 33% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the UK ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a 4.7% share.

In the Netherlands, electric rotary converter imports expanded at an average annual rate of +9.4% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the UK (-2.4% per year) and France (-4.6% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 56% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable downturn. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
