In 2023, Brazil (X units), distantly followed by El Salvador (X units), the Dominican Republic (X units), Venezuela (X units), Mexico (X units), Colombia (X units) and Peru (X units) represented the largest importers of iron or steel cans, together achieving X% of total imports. Guatemala (X units), Trinidad and Tobago (X units), Costa Rica (X units), Uruguay (X units), Ecuador (X units) and Chile (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into Brazil increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
