Turkey dominates exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. Jordan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with an X% share, followed by Lebanon (X%), Iran (X%) and Tunisia (X%). The United Arab Emirates (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to apricot exports from Turkey stood at X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, apricot imports contracted modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Iraq (X tons) represented the key importer of apricots, comprising X% of total imports. Saudi Arabia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by the United Arab Emirates (X%) and Libya (X%). The following importers - Oman (X tons), Kuwait (X tons) and Egypt (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.
Iraq was also the fastest-growing in terms of the apricots imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Oman (X%), Libya (X%), Egypt (X%), the United Arab Emirates (X%) and Saudi Arabia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Kuwait (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
