Cote d'Ivoire prevails in exports structure, finishing at X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Nigeria (X units), constituting an X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Cabo Verde (X units), Ghana (X units) and Mauritania (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to blanket exports from Cote d'Ivoire stood at X%. At the same time, Cabo Verde (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Cabo Verde emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Western Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Nigeria (X%), Mauritania (X%) and Ghana (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Cote d'Ivoire (X p.p.) and Cabo Verde (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Mauritania (X p.p.) and Ghana (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The export price in Western Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a slight contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ghana ($X per unit), while Mauritania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
