Brown Rice Price in Azerbaijan (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average brown rice import price amounted to $1,168 per ton, rising by 47% against the previous year. In general, the import price posted a measured expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,855 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($575 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($2,601 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia stood at $1,490 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Brown Rice Imports in Azerbaijan

In 2022, supplies from abroad of husked (brown) rice decreased by -93.8% to 50 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth.
