The average dry peas import price stood at $346 per ton in September 2023, falling by -3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a noticeable slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 4% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $585 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($546 per ton), while the price for Russia ($295 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of peas (dry) decreased by -26.4% to 1.6M tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt decrease.
