Frozen Poultry Liver Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average frozen poultry liver export price amounted to $1,596 per ton, which is down by -7.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 9.8% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,780 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($2,743 per ton), while the average price for exports to Angola ($416 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen poultry liver import price stood at $1,944 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 1.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 26% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,133 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($2,295 per ton), while the price for the United States ($1,156 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Frozen Poultry Liver Exports in Turkey
For the fourth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in shipments abroad of frozen poultry livers and offal, which increased by 19% to 320K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
