Frozen Sweet Corn Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average frozen sweet corn export price amounted to $1,614 per ton, reducing by -1.6% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 25% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,659 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Colombia ($2,500 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($1,031 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen sweet corn import price stood at $1,494 per ton in August 2023, growing by 11% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 29% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Peru ($2,660 per ton), while the price for India ($750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
