Preserved Olive Price in Morocco (FOB) - 2022
The average preserved olive export price stood at $1,439 per ton in December 2022, picking up by 8.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In December 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($1,475 per ton) and France ($1,447 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,322 per ton) and Belgium ($1,334 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Libya (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Olive Price in Morocco (CIF) - 2022
The average preserved olive import price stood at $1,883 per ton in 2022, dropping by -15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 23%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,215 per ton in 2021, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
