The average cereals; grain sorghum, seed import price stood at $3,299 per ton in May 2023, with a decrease of -7.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a pronounced setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 179% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5,563 per ton. From April 2023 to May 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($3,700 per ton), while the price for Austria amounted to $327 per ton.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
