In 2022, the average export price for cereals; maize (corn), other than seeds amounted to $319 per ton, picking up by 24% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $278 per ton. From July 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

From October 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (-1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
