From 2018 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cigarettes containing tobacco imports expanded markedly to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Kazakhstan was the main importing country with an import of around X units, which recorded X% of total imports. Mongolia (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Turkmenistan (X%). Tajikistan (X units) took a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Mongolia (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
