The average import price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered stood at $10,051 per ton in November 2023, rising by 4.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $11,127 per ton. From April 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($13,847 per ton), while the price for Spain ($8,607 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered amounted to $9,662 per ton, growing by 17% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 99% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $10,409 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Panama ($18,400 per ton), while the average price for exports to Cyprus ($5,778 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Greece (+18.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Cheese of All Kinds, Grated or Powdered in Ukraine
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered decreased by -48.4% to 210 tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a significant increase.
