Apple Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average apple export price amounted to $559 per ton, falling by -3.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated modest growth from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, apple export price increased by +66.0% against October 2022 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 31% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $580 per ton in May 2023, and then shrank slightly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($701 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($443 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apple Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average apple import price stood at $1,649 per ton in June 2023, rising by 61% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 181% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,129 per ton), while the price for Italy ($889 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apple Exports in Poland
Apple exports from Poland contracted remarkably to 733K tons in 2022, waning by -22% compared with the previous year. In general, exports saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 42% against the previous year.
In value terms, apple exports contracted markedly to $315M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 25% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $425M, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

Apple Imports in Poland
In 2022, supplies from abroad of apples decreased by -0.8% to 2.5K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports saw a precipitous slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 189%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 22K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, apple imports dropped markedly to $1.6M in 2022. In general, imports saw a dramatic decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 253%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $23M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
